A Poem “For Jude” at Occupy LA

I wrote this for Jude at Occupy LA. I’m pretty sure her prompt was “kitties,” and that she told me a story about how hers passed away. It was loud so I guess we’ll never know.

One day you will bury
the memory: the color
of my eyes, the feel
of my fur. But Jude, love
moves in circles. Scratch
at the surface
and you’ll find
nothing stays forgotten.
