A few weekends ago, I typed free poems for folks at WorldFest in Woodley Park here in the Valley. I had to leave the event early, so here’s one poem of many which were orphaned.

This one is for Monica who requested koalas.

“Koalas”

You think I’m cute? Well,
I’ve got teeth
that capitalize
on uncharted territories.
Stroke my fur the wrong way
and you’ll feel
just how friendly
I can be.
