Orange is my favorite color.
You don’t believe me? Why
would I have reason
to lie to you, a perfect stranger.
I could tell you
carrot is my favorite color.
Would that be a lie? Or
would it be a blatant misuse of the
linguistic system
that ties us to ourselves, entrapped,
instead of letting us wander
like infants
unaware of any distinction
between the self
and the soul of the universe?
