Coronavirus: Quarantine Poetry
Throughout the COVID-19 crisis, I’ve been quietly sending poetry by snail mail. Now, you can sign up to receive Quarantine Poetry delivered to your mailing address on a weekly, monthly, or seasonal basis–or even just register to receive one during the holidays:
As you know, snail mail art is one of my favorite hobbies. There’s something about waiting for a letter, then having it randomly pop up in your mailbox, one day. Nothing beats taking the time to be fully present while crafting something by hand, working it into this realm from scratch.
Because of this, Typewriter Poetry is going 100% snail mail.
What does that mean? Well–
Much like the Typewriter Poetry project itself, I’ve found it more rewarding to craft the stories behind these poems by hand.

While sharing stories virtually through the blog has been an incredible source of joy and connection, I can feel its season slowly shifting into its next phase.
If you’re reading this–and have been subscribed to this blog for the last few years–I’d love to add you to my list of people I send quarantine poems to. Just send me an email with your name and address, and I’ll have one in the mail for you the following Monday.
If you’re new–hi! Welcome to the end of the story. I invite you to peruse the blog as well as the treasure trove of poems I’ve written for folks throughout the years.
Typewriter Poetry: Snail Mail for Quarantine
I’m excited to start building an old-fashioned “mailing list,” again.
While I’ll still be giving away #FreePoetry via video chat during the quarantine (thanks, LunchClub!), this is a wonderful way to slowly bring this project offline and fully into the realm of the physical.
If you have not received your letter–and you paid for it–please contact me directly and I’ll send one out promptly.
Thanks as always for following along. Hope to write you a letter, soon!
With Love,
Billimarie
