Yes, you read right. I’ll be bringing my typewriter as well as my lawn-chair, cardboard sign, paper, and thinking/feeling hat to the playa this year.

I’ll be sitting by my tent, which will be at the Safer Sex Camp near 5:30 & B(irthday). Come say hello and get a poem !

  1. Hey, I just found this post because I was idly wondering about whether typewriters ever played a part at Burning Man. They seem so appropriate. How did it go?? (I didn’t see a followup, just point me to it if you have one.)

    1. Ha! How funny. I did bring my typewriter, but I was afraid the dust would ruin in so I didn’t use it as much as I should have. Have you ever been to Burning Man?

      1. Nope, I’ve never been, just wondered about it from afar and seen lots of pictures. It looks fascinating, particularly the gift-economy aspect. If you google “burning man typewriter” you see a couple of machines that were in use there. I do imagine that you’re right, the dust could mess up the mechanism.
